I had breast implants 6 months ago and am un happy with how they have healed. I do understand breasts go were they are naturally…. But my implants basically look just like before my surgery but bigger. There is no roundness and fullness at all. They just seem very saggy to me. I have 350 cc under the muscle and a periareolar lift. And I am concerned that I’m getting a double bubble under them both more on one side then the other.
Answer: BA results Dear emilywabs, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: You got the wrong surgery You were never a candidate for breast augmentation with a circumareolar lift; you needed are formal breast lift from the beginning. You are now suffering the consequences: breast tissue and nipples low on the breast mound (hiding plenty of lower pole fullness), thick peri-areolar scars, breast mound asymmetry, and double bubble (from the surgeons vain attempt to get the implants low enough -too low, unfortunately - to 'lift' breast tissue. You can get fabulous breasts by doing the right thing this time: implant pocket closure (capsulorrhaphy) to reposition the implants into a higher position, and a formal breast lift. Scars will be finer and white.

Answer: Breast revision Thank you for your question. I have been in practice almost 30 years and revision breast surgery is a large portion of my practice. It appears that in your case, the surgeon tried to lower the implant pocket to match your areola so he or she could perform a donut lift. You have to know that a donut lift really is not a lift but nipple reposition. You are now in the case where your implant pocket is too low on your chest and that is why you have the double bubble. What you really needed was to place the implant in the correct position and perform at a minimum a lollipop lift. The good news is you can have an excellent result. You would need to have an internal bra-capsulorrhaphy as well as a breast lift. Many surgeons are not experienced or talented at either of these procedures. You have to find a surgeon who is experienced in revisionarty breast surgery and see if there revision on their galleries resonates with yours. Best wishes to you.

Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method At this time, I recommend explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers or small implants can be placed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breasts First, naturally your breasts sit somewhat low on your chest and the bases cannot be moved. You will not have high perky breasts with your anatomy. Second, you do have a mild double bubble and I would always wear a good supporting bra while upright. Do not go larger for your tissue will not support more weight. Third, the lower breast probably would have done better with the vertical lift. The peri-areolar lift is limited. Please discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
