Rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty timing?

Question

I have a rhinoplasty scheduled for early August and I have decided to pursue an upper blepharoplasty as well with a different surgeon. Would it be possible to get the upper blepharoplasty now and adequately recover from the procedure in the 6 weeks before my rhinoplasty is scheduled to take place? If not, how long after the rhinoplasty would it be safe to schedule the blepharoplasty?

The blepharoplasty and rhinoplasty surgeries are safely and commonly performed together. I routinely combine the surgeries with excellent results and no complication. If for some reason you did want to stage the procedures, in my opinion they should be separated by a few months. Both surgeries can cause bruising and swelling within the nasal area and the soft tissues should be given plenty of time to recover to obtain optimal results. You should discuss your care with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who will be able to provide more information. Thank you for your question.

There is no reason that you should not have both procedures done together? We routinely do blepharoplasty, face lift, breast surgery, etc. with rhinoplasty. You should discuss your blepharoplasty option with a surgeon doing your rhinoplasty rather than other way around. Hope this helps.

To have them 1 months apart is ok. My preference is doing blepharoplasty first as you will have more edema after rhinoplasty.

Why don't you get it done together? We normally do blepharoplasty with other procedures. Better to find a surgeon who can perform both or clinic which has both surgeons! Or just do the surgery blepharoplasty first and the day after the surgery undergo rhinoplasty!
