Do avoid getting into an argument about "scar massage expert," let just agree that there is no such think that there is no such thing as "scar massage expert" when it comes to eyelid massaging. Generally I do not recommend eyelid massage except for certain very particular circumstances. It is my opinion that many patients are advised to massage the eyelid for almost any reason and this is almost always not helpful. In some cases, it can actually be damaging. For example it can contribute to the crepey eyelid platform skin in your upper eyelid. The inner medial canthal "gap"--let's call it a cleft is likely what is left of your eyelid crease. I say likely because I do see eyelids that have an independent cleft and it is not at all clear that it is actually part of the crease. It would have been ideal of your eyelid surgeon had incorporated this cleft into your upper eyelid crease ( and actually structured your eyelid so that it did crease). It would be helpful to know if the upper eyelid does crease when you are looking straight ahead. I am doubtful because that seems no real structure to your upper eyelid platform. If the surgical crease was anchored to the underlying levator aponeurosis, one would expect to see some crease detail here, which is missing. In my opinion, you should immediately stop massaging the upper eyelids and consider a detailed consultation with someone who knows something about reconstructing an upper eyelid fold.
