How many graft would be required to fully cover baldness of type 5-6 norwood with a after transplant density of 30 FU/cm2? See the picture. Is it better to go with dtrip procedure or FUE? How patient is satisfied by doctor that the required number of grafts are implanted (for which patient pay)? Thank you for your time and suggestion (in advance).

On your pictures you don’t looks like Norwood 5-6, you are most around 3v.But you can need 3000 -4000 grafts (the baldness area must measured exactly with a software system)

(1)Numbers don't guarantee results. It's the doctor and his team that provide great results.
A great doctor with an experience team can achieve far superior results with less number of grafts than an inexperienced doctor with hired traveling techs promising high number of grafts at a bargain.

Remember not all grafts will take.  The experience of your doctor and team will ensure high percentage of grafts surviving.  The experience and artistic talent of the doctor will ensure a natural looking hair line.

(2)You need an exam to make sure you are even a candidate for surgery.  Without proper planning you may look worse after surgery if you end up losing all your existing hair.

Hi Mushtaq,Thanks for your question. Your photos are great, but it's difficult to give you an exact number of grafts needed as we cannot see the donor area on the back of your head to check its extent and density. However, micro FUE techniques like Neograft are your best option as there is no donor scar, natural appearing results, and the option of transplanting 3500 grafts at one session in selected cases. The advantage with our technique is maximal preservation of your donor area if future harvesting is requested by our patients for more density. Micro FUE like Neograft avoids a noticeable donor scar which is seen commonly with most strip techniques.

Dear Mushtaq, thank you for your question. It is difficult to advise you without examining your scalp, including donor density. We prefer FUE at our practice and utilize Neograft with great success, however you may need several sessions to achieve maximum coverage. Good Luck!

There are several factors that come into play when deciding what your goals are.  Full coverage of the entire balding area is usually very difficult to achieve with one procedure.  In general patients require 2-3 procedures to come close to that.  Also the density of the donor area and quality of the hair comes into play.  At look natural hair transplants we only offer FUE because we feel its the best method to procure hair with minimal scarring and pain.  A consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon should answer most of your questions.  Good luck.

Please clarify your question . It is not clear if you had prior work. Also it helps to know your age and have a description of balding patterns that run in your family. I can at least say that 30 grafts/cm2 will not give full coversge of a bald area.
