Thank you for your question. I normally require a medical clearance from your primary care doctor which will consist of a physical, bloodwork, ekg, and in your case a cardiology clearance. Each surgeon will have their own protocol in regards to treating patients with past medical issues. I would suggest seeing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your medical history. Best of luck to you.
I require a medical clearance for all general anesthesia surgeries. With your history I would also recommend a cardiac clearance to make sure it is safe for you to have surgery. Just let your doctor know your medical history and make sure they are taking the right precautions before surgery.
Anytime you schedule surgery with anesthesia you need to be cleared by your primary doctor - he or she will determine if you are healthy enough to undergo the procedure. So the answer is a tentative yes - history of a stroke does not immediately disqualify you for surgery. While you discuss the possibility of surgery with your doctor, please keep my name in mind for your BBL. I use a VASER liposuction technique that yield amazing results.Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Thank you for your questions. Soreness is not uncommon after surgery. You should continue to follow your surgeon's post operative instructions closely and continue to give your body time to heal. Follow up regularly with your surgeon as well. Good Luck.
The best advice to follow is that of the plastic surgeon who performed your BBL. He sees you for follow-ups and know how your body is healing.Kenneth Hughes, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Thank you for your question. Without seeing pictures it is hard to give some recommendations. I would suggest seeing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to be evaluated in person. Best of luck to you.
Liposuction can be performed if you do not have active infection and are treated perioperatively with antivirals. Best to notify your PS immediately and let him/her make that decision.
