The best advice to follow is that of the plastic surgeon who performed your BBL. He sees you for follow-ups and know how your body is healing.Kenneth Hughes, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Thank you for your question. Every surgeon has different post-op protocol, so I would recommend asking your BCPS what they prefer. I usually close my patients liposuction ports with a suture that is removed a couple of days post-op. I have them apply Aquaphor or Vaseline for a couple days to help promote healing and help protect incision. Once the port has healed I have my patients move on to scar cream for up to 6 months. Good luck and best wishes!
You don’t need a formal dressing as long as you are regularly cleaning your incisions. I recommend cleaning each site twice daily with soap and water for the first 2 - 3 weeks. If there is any discharge, I have my patients put hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball and dab each incision twice daily. If the crusty irritates you, you may put Aquaphor ointment on each site as well. I like Aquaphor, and it alone is enough of a dressing. It also comes out of clothing and bed sheets. Please don’t use bacitracin or neosporin, as the antibiotic in these ointments will likely cause a rash when used beneath your garments for more than a couple days.
Thank you for your question. Without seeing pictures it is hard to give some recommendations. I would suggest seeing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to be evaluated in person. Best of luck to you.
Liposuction can be performed if you do not have active infection and are treated perioperatively with antivirals. Best to notify your PS immediately and let him/her make that decision.
You appear to be a good candidate for a fat transfer to the buttock. Your asymmetry is very subtle in the front view. Your request for a more rounded crease to your buttock is very unlikely to happen with this procedure, but the rest of your concerns would be addressed nicely. You will have a...
For most of my patients, I tell them that at 6 weeks there is still a great deal of swelling in the abdomen, sides, and back (or wherever the liposuction was performed); and they will only look better in 6 months. Follow up with your PS about your continued fluid collection.
Thanks for your question. You appear to be a good candidate for a brazilian butt lift. When planning a Brazilian butt lift, patients can look forward to a double benefit: reducing areas of unwanted fat while gaining a perkier, rounded posterior. Each procedure must be planned according to the ...
About 60% of fat from the transfer is retained and the results are permanent. The size will change with your weight just as the rest of your body does. In other words, the fat acts like it was naturally there. You can get a good idea of the final result after 6 months.
