DR advised fat grafting would provide best results to add upper pole fullness on my LEFT BREAST (non tattoo side). Had my BA 6mo. ago, my folds were off to begin, he lowered my Left Breast fold. DR suggested revision with lipo from flanks and mid thigh to my breast. I love my legs. Would actually rather Flanks and my Abdomen... why did he not mention my abdomen as there and my love handles I have more fat. THANKS.

You certainly could benefit from liposuction to the abdomen & flanks and fat grafting to your breasts. Your nipples look like they are different heights, and fat grafting will not alter that.  Discuss your options with your surgeon, but I think the abdomen and flanks are excellent sites for fat harvesting.  Good luck!

Yes, this is a reasonable option for what you would like addressed.  You have to consider not only which areas will have perhaps the best fat, but also you have to consider which donor sites will have the fewest problems afterward with the liposuction.  In general, the abdomen and thighs are preferred, but, if those sites are not available, other areas can be used.

peachesandboobies. Fat grafting to the periphery of your breasts to camouflage breast implants is an excellent option and appears from your photos to suit your particular situation. You will not need that much fat and I do think liposuction of just your abdomen and flanks will be the right choice and you can leave your pretty legs alone. Fat transfer is also widely used in reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. Thank you for your questions and photos.  You do appear to have enough donor fat in the areas you desire to support that fat grafting your surgeon is suggesting.  Generally, 30-40 % of the fat doesn't take and gets reabsorbed, so there is a chance of wanting a second fat transfer but this isn't likely decided for at least 6 months post procedure.Best of Luck, Dr. K.

You could certainly use fat from your abdomen or flanks for the graft, and ask your surgeon to also remove the excess fat as well from both areas.

Thank you for your questions and photos. Fat grafting is an excellent way to add volume and fill any defects that might be present. It is also an great option to help make breasts symmetric. Different areas of the body will provide different types of fat, thereby affecting your final result. In general, fat taken from the medial thighs and abdomen are the best areas for fat grafting if you have enough donor fat available. If you are unsure of your specific plan, I recommend you schedule a phone appointment with your surgeon to go over any questions you may have before your procedure. I hope that helps and good luck!

Hi, after looking at your pictures I have a question. Silicone or saline? If saline you may just need to add fluid to smaller breast. If you choose fat grafting your abdomen and flanks are as good and area as any to harvest the fat.  You will not need a lot of fat to improve the upper pole and you should choose based on which areas you want improved by lipo. It is also possible that you may need more than one session of fat grafting because some of the fat will dissolve.

for improving your contours and shape.  Fat harvested at the same time could easily be grafted to your deficient breast (which doesn't look that deficient anymore on this photo).  So yes, you should get a good result with liposuction BUT this would be considered a NEW procedure and bring with it new fees and costs.

Dear Peaches,Hello and thank you for your excellent question. Based on your photos, I think that you are a good candidate for fat transfer to the breasts and liposuction to the abdomen and waist / flanks. You may want to look into a fat transfer procedure that combines both liposuction with laser, radiofrequency (RF), or acoustic therapy to produce the best balance of fat reduction, skin tightening and smoothing at the liposuction site, and maximizes your fat graft success at the transfer site (i.e., breast, buttock, hand, face, or elsewhere). In addition, and most significantly, we have started to ENRICH our fat transfer for stem cells through a proprietary, FDA-approved process. This gives you the best quality fat for transfer, and the highest percentage of successful engraftment. Our fat transfer process builds on work for over the last 12 years. First off, all devices and instruments used are FDA-approved, unlike some of the liposuction and fat transfer devices being used today. We only use techniques that have been proven to minimize the risk of complications of fat transfer, like fat embolism, but following all recognized guidelines. We typically use Smart / Laser Liposuction or VASER (ultrasound) to reduce dense, fibrous fat, stimulate collagen formation, and obtain the best fat graft possible; Radiofrequency-based skin tightening (like InMode Body Fx) to maximize skin contraction; and Ultrasound, RF, or subcision (Z Wave, Venus, Cellfina) to treat cellulite, increase blood supply to the fat graft site, and get rid of any lumpiness that can occur after fat grafting. With regards to our fat transfer, we have a unique and safe way to increase the percentage of stem cells and growth factors in the transferred fat by nearly 200% (and oftentimes higher). Patients go home the same day as surgery, do not need any narcotics postop for pain control, and can return to light exercise and work two days after their procedure. In my practice, we select the appropriate treatment for each patient based on their skin quality, amount of fat and surgical goals. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure.
