Hello. Im a 32 year old female with no kids. I have slight scoliosis which has caused unevenness in my hips & torso. One side of stomach seems to curve in a little more than the other. I also have breast asymmetry with my left boob being bigger than the right. I am looking to lipo to even out my torso /flanks & fat transfer to proportion my breasts . I seem to have enough fat to use. I know it wont be perfect, but will it camouflage my asymmetry? How long does fat transfer last?
Answer: Fat You did not show your breasts, so I cannot be specific. However, for small aysmmetries, fat transfers can help even out breasts sizes. You would do well with liposuction to the flanks and abdomen, but this will not correct the scoliosis.

Answer: Will lipo and fat grafting help even out asymmetric breasts and torso /hips from scoliosis? (photos) Recommend that you schedule an in-office consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of breast and liposuction procedures annually. This is the only way you will be able to obtain an objective opinion regarding the best plan for you to achieve your ultimate goals. In general, 200 cc per breast is typically the upper limit of fat injection recommended by most plastic surgeons. It is not that more cannot be injected; but on average, this has been determined to be the most that can be expected to live during one transfer. The fat must be injected through multiple planes in small amounts to the tissue through one tiny incision under each breast. Fat transfer to the breast could improve the fullness of the breast, particularly at the top of the breast. Multiple treatments may be required to reach the size you desire. About 50% of the fat obtains permanence. Sometimes, individuals will have problem areas that are relatively exercise resistant. These are the focus areas for your plastic surgeon to lipo. The waist can be made smaller with liposuction, and the hips can be fat grafted to give a rather significant change in waist to hip ratio. Liposuction of the abdomen, back and flanks results in a waist as small as possible. Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Los Angeles, CA

Answer: Creative fat grafting can correct contour asymmetries of the breast and body provided they are not too great. From the photographs provided it's not possible to comment on your specific situation. Nevertheless, because the asymmetries appear to be modest fat grafting would definitely be a therapeutic option.

Answer: Liposuction with fat grafting Liposuction will reduce fat in the desired areas but it does not correct asymmetry associated with scoliosis. Asymmetries related to spinal curvature will still be present. Fat grafting to the breast is a great procedure for women wanting to augment the breasts without using an implant. Fat can be taken from your torso and add more volume to the breast. It would be best to show more of the areas of concern for a better evaluation of the breasts without the bra in place.

Answer: Fat transfer Dear Sug86,Fat transfer breast augmentation is a viable alternative for women who desire larger breasts without the use of implants. Fat transfer is also widely used in reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. It can also be very effective in correcting the size and shape of the breasts due to genetic problems such as tuberous breast or Poland Syndrome, two conditions that look like misshapen or underdeveloped breasts. In addition, the following scenarios are also reason to consider breast fat grafting:• If you have chest areas that appear creased and sunken• If you desire more permanent correction than is provided by temporary fillers• If you wish to improve your body contour, revise scars, fill bodily depressions and rejuvenate the natural curve of your breasts• To fill in contour irregularities or hide obvious signs of breast implantsYou should discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon and make sure your surgeon understands your concerns and your breast augmentation goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
