I am 23 years old, I have never been married nor I have children. Do you recomend having a liposuction before marriage and having children. Will in the future affect me having children?

Answer: Liposuction before children
If you are a good candidate for liposuction (reasonable body weight, good skin tone, and localized fatty deposits), you can obtain an excellent benefit from liposuction now and in the future. Having liposuction now will not hurt your opportunity for future prenancy. And, pregnancy will not necessarily "undo" the result from your liposuction. The only surgery that I feel really needs to wait until after childbearing is abdominoplasty or "tummy tuck" surgery. Pregnancy definitely disrupts our result there!

Answer: Liposuction and Marriage/Pregnancy?
Thank you for the question.
The timing of liposuction surgery is entirely up to the patient; it can be done before or after marriage and pregnancy. Generally, if patients are contemplating having pregnancies in the near future, I suggest they wait on having any type of body contouring operation. As you know, the body does undergo changes during pregnancy; these changes may “undo” the benefits patients have experienced after body contouring operations. Liposuction surgery will not “affect” pregnancy...
A good liposuction candidate is a patient who presents with diet and exercise resistant adipose tissue isolated to specific areas. These patients are not looking for a weight loss solution.
Good skin elasticity is also an important attribute of the patient undergoing liposuction surgery. As we age or gain/lose weight we generally lose some skin elasticity. After the liposuction procedure we are depending on the skin elasticity to allow the skin envelope to “shrink” to fit the reduced contour resulting from the liposuction procedure.
When the time is right for you, it will be in your best interests to seek in person consultation with a well experienced board-certified plastic surgeon.
Best wishes.
