Does tattoo affect FUE hair transplant?

Hair is a robust part of the skin when not affected by the withering effects of a hormone called DHT, or dihydrotestosterone. If transplanted correctly your hairs will grow whether you get a tattoo or not. The tattoo won’t have any negative effect on hair that’s been correctly transplanted. Tattoos on the arm will not affect the hair transplants on your scalp.  Pain or stress of having tattoos on the arm will not likely be an issue.

Getting a tattoo after the transplant should not be an issue, especially considering that you will be 2 months out from the transplant procedure. At that point you can consider yourself fully healed and not have to worry about common activities like getting a tattoo affected the results of your procedure.

A body tattoo of any kind will not impact your hair transplant. We do tattoos all of the time on the scalp to make the hair look fuller with no negative impact on any hair transplant. (see web reference below)
