I had lipo two weeks ago. I am still in pain, is this normal?

After two weeks of my lipo, I can't sleep comfortably. If I sleep on my back I wake up with a lot of pain on the lower back. If I sleep on my stomach I wake up with pain in my shoulders. I still can't walk right ? Is this normal ? My stomach and back are very numb but I had family who recovered in 2 weeks and I'm still in a lot of pain. Any suggestions to heal a little faster?

I recommend following up with your Doctor for pain management. Oral neurontin can help pain. Swelling can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Hello Jenny It´s still normal to feel pain, after liposuction, the recovery time can last from days to months, depending on the size of the part that has been treated. In most cases of liposuction, recovery progresses so that the patient can continue his normal life after one or two weeks, and full recovery is achieved in 6 months. Congratulations on your lipo, jeennnyyyy. Sorry to hear about your pain.
Frankly speaking, it’s not normal to still be in a lot of pain two weeks after a liposuction. You’re supposed to feel sore up to about four days post-op, but then it starts to subside after that and it shouldn’t bother you as much.
To relieve pain and help you in daily activities and sleeping, you can take the pain meds your doctor prescribed. Since there is prolonged pain, you might need to get nerve medications like Lyrica and Neurontin. 
Still, the best thing to do is to go back to your reputable and board-certified plastic surgeon to get yourself evaluated properly. He’ll also be able to manage your pain better.

It is not usual to have so much pain and discomfort 2 weeks after liposuction. Some numbness in the suctioned area , is expected that should improve by time.It is a good idea to check with your surgeon to make sure you do not have infection or seroma.
