Answer: Breast augmentation The sickle cell anemia is the thing that concerns me the most. I would consult with a hematologist to make sure your surgery can be performed safely.

Answer: Should I wait for BA? The decision to move forward with a breast augmentation will depend on your individual situation. With Sickle Cell disease, a hematological consultation should always be completed prior to scheduling any medical procedure. Once you have received clearance, a breast augmentation plan can be created. Remember to select an experienced, Board Certified plastic surgeon for your procedure; this is the only way to ensure you will achieve safe and satisfying results.

Answer: Should I wait for my breast augmentation? Thanks so much for your question. I agree with others that you want to be safe as this is elective surgery. You would be very wise to be seen by our primary care doctor and also possibly a hematologist and make sure that you are a safe candidate for any elective surgery. This type of surgery isn't any more or less dangerous than other elective surgeries so it's less a matter of the procedure and more a matter of your underlying health.
