Hi I had open rhinoplasty in Glasgow 5 weeks ago and nose tip looks droppy, too long, has a poly beak and does not look to be shaped well, can you advise please

Thank you very much for enquire.It's too early to make value judgments with 5 weeks after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

5 weeks is very early to judge. If the nose doesn't improve some tip work may be necessary but its too early to make that call.

You should not have had rhinoplasty at all. You had a good nose.You have lost skin support from bone structure and thus it hangs. Polybeak is from bridge tip disharmony. Swelling will go away. Effect will not.

Thank you for the question and photos.  At five weeks it is still relatively early in your recovery and some swelling is still present.  With that said, the overall shape of your nose at five weeks leads me to believe that a revision may be necessary to smooth and correct the overall nose shape and reduce the projection.I hope this helps.All the best,Dr. Remus Repta
