Answer: Swelling after FUT It is not unusual to have swelling in the donor area for up to 7-10 days post procedure.However,if the swelling is rapid and significant this may represent bleeding.The majority of swelling is due to sutures and inflammation.If you are concerned flow up with your surgeon.

Answer: Swelling It is not uncommon to feel a raised area where the FUT incision was made. When the incision is closed its sometimes good to close the wound and have the edges raised. As the area heals and flattens out the scar will be a fine line. It's called everting the wound edges. If you don't do this on a tight closure, the scar sometimes becomes too wide and it heals.

Answer: Swelling in the donor area If you have an unusual swelling below the strip, go back and see your surgeon to make sure you don't have a hematoma (a collection of blood)
