Can i have restylane in my chin one week after chin implant removal? The implant was only in for 3 days. And there are barely any swelling left. If not, why is that? Is it dangerous in any way? I feel so ulgy in the chin area and it is hard to cover it up with scarfs in the summer.

Answer: Chin Implant and Dermal Filler As long as there is no swelling from the surgery and the area has completely healed from the removal it is safe to have Hyaluronic acid fillers injected. I would recommend using Voluma in the chin area. I inject a great deal of Voluma in the chin area and I find that this helps a great deal with both the volume replacement and lift in the area. Please consult an expert in Voluma for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green

Answer: Filler after chin implant removal Hi Kamilla, I am sorry that the chin implant was not satisfactory. The fact that it was only in there for 3 days makes me wonder if there was a complication. Either way, the swelling will take time to go down, even 6 weeks. Getting fillers before that is likely safe, but is also more likely to leave you with an asymmetric result as the swelling from the surgery is always slightly asymmetric, making your injector "guess." If you are ok with getting touchups knowing that these will nearly be guaranteed, then (as long as the implant was not removed for a complication) ok for some filler.
