Hello and thank you for the question. It depends on how early this is. All surgical procedures, no matter how small, need time to heal. There is initially a LOT of swelling that can take MONTHS to resolve. Trying to treat this too soon can lead to over correction or asymmetry. Generally, I do not recommend fat injections to the lips. I've seen patients treated by other doctors with scar tissue nodules, lumpy lips that don't go away. Although I do a lot of fat transfer procedures ( butt, breast, face)  I stay away from doing this in the lips. If the fat has been there a long time, over 9 months, I would suggest removing the excess surgically. Lipodissolve treatments are very inaccurate and unpredictable. You can easily over or under treat the lips, leaving them worse than before. Best to you.
