I plan to lose weight by dieting and exercising. What type of Liposuction do I need, based on the photos? Does my behind (buttocks) appear to be too small or badly shaped? Do I need a butt lift surgery? What is my Behind (buttocks) Shape? Also, what does my Body Shape Type appear to be?

A person whose waist measures 35 inches or more is likely to have stores of visceral fat. The best way to get rid of this fat is through diet and exercise as you plan to do.  Most plastic surgeons are looking for a BMI close to 30 (yours is 33.3) to enhance results and to reduce the risks of complications during and after surgery.  After you have reached your weight goal, consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine the best way to remove the excess skin and contour your body.Many varieties of liposuction are available including ultrasonic, smart lipo, and conventional lipo. Liposuction provides a more consistent and predictable result than non-invasive treatments.  However, the results depend less on the method used and more on the surgeon and the postoperative care. Make sure that the surgeon is a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in lipo.

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT once you reach goal weight. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heats the skin with radiofrequency devices such as Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite, and ThermiRF to heat the undersurface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. Your current BMI is 36 and you seem to have significant amount of visceral fat, which is not amenable for liposuction removal. In simple terms, there are two types of fat: subcutaneous fat and visceral fat. Subcutaneous fat is the fat that is found below your skin and is pinchable. This is the fat that can be removed with liposuction. On then hand, visceral fat is the fat that is intra-abdominal and surrounds your viscera (intestine, etc). Visceral fat can not be removed with liposuction. The only way to get rid of visceral fat is by losing weight. I would seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a full evaluation and advice. Best,

I would not advise any surgery at this time until you achieve a weight appropriate for your height indicating a healthier condition. This may require approximately 100lb weight loss. That will result in loose skin best treated by body contouring procedures.

You can get improvement with liposuction, and sometimes, it will boost you mentally during your dieting as you see results. However, liposuction is not weight loss surgery. Liposuction is also good for those stubborn areas that seem somewhat resistant to dieting.

Liposuction is not designed as a weight loss procedure as only ~ 6-8 pounds of fat can be removed per procedure. It is a reshaping procedure, designed to remove stubborn fat repositories that do not respond to diet and exercise. 
Your candidacy for cosmetic surgery requires consideration of many
factors. One is measurement of your BMI (body mass index equals weight in kg /
square of height in meters). You can find BMI calculators on the internet. If
your BMI is > 30, the cosmetic result will not be optimal. If your BMI is
> 35, your operative risk will rise. Your BMI is 36.31. Weight loss through diet and exercise
is recommended. If not achievable, a bariatric procedure (such as a gastric
sleeve) will result in significant weight loss. This is not cosmetic surgery as it is of functional significance. 
Safety is of primary importance. Once below 215 pounds (BMI 35), safety is improved. For the best cosmetic result, 185 pounds (BMI 30) would be a target weight before considering surgery. 
Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for in-person evaluation and discussion.

Congratulations on your decision to loose weight. I would strongly encourage you to get down to your goal weight (preferably a BMI of 30 or below) and maintain that weight for several months before having any type of surgical procedure. Without an examination I cannot tell for sure, but from your photographs you appear to have a significant amount of intra-abdominal or visceral fat that would not be addressed with liposuction. Also even before weight loss you appear to have excess skin and abdominal wall laxity that will become more apparent as you loose your weight. I would suggest a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience with massive weight loss patients. Best of luck with your weight loss journey.
