For my patient having a tummy tuck procedure, I recommend that they take three weeks off of cardio at the gym and six weeks off of weight training, yoga exercises, and core exercises. I recommend discussing specific post op instructions with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
Thanks for your inquiry, each surgeon is different and each patient is healing at a different pace, but in general around 8 weeks--a plank really engages the core and if you had a muscle repair you want it to heal. Please review activity restrictions with your surgeon and best of luck.

Your question should really only be answered by your surgeon as they know what exactly was done and how well you are recovering.In my practice, most patients are able to return to vigorous activity and exercise after approximately 6-8 weeks. If you have had no problems since your surgery it is possible you can exercise and tone now but check with your surgeon first.Best wishes.
