Unfortunately, you have not told us your brasize just your cup size. If you are 32 or 34 each 100 cc’s of implantcorresponds to 1 cup size change. If youare 36 or 38 each 200 cc’s of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. From this, you can compute the volumerequired to achieve your desired goal.Ialways recommend small round textured silicone gel implants placedretro-pectoral since they look and feel more natural, are more stable, lesslikely to ripple or have complications needing revision.Implant profile is irrelevant in theretro-pectoral position since the muscle compresses it.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Ideally you needan in house consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. There are various factors and specificmeasurements the surgeon takes into consideration when determining implant sizefor patients. Once you have been assessedby the surgeon you can try on sizers which will help give you a visual of whatsize you would like to be. Many surgeons also offer digital imaging. There is no “standard” size given for patients;it is all based individually. In theend, your result should be beautiful natural looking breasts.
Thanks for the pictures. Trying to achieve a cup size is not the best way to determine implant volumes in my opinion. This needs to be the judgment of the plastic surgeon coupled with the desired results from pictures of the patient. Focus less on cup size and more all final results.
Dear Kim,unfortunately, exact sizing is impossible online. In general, you seem to be very petite and I would recommend undergoing silicone ultra high-profile or full profile implants in the 375 to 400cc range. Please look for a board certified plastic surgeon with expertise in breast augmentation and to undergo Vectra 3-D imaging to simulate breast augmentation with different size implants. Breast of luck.
We have found cup sizes to vary from one bra maker to the next. During our consultations, we examine the patient's breast and body dimensions. We also have the patient undergo a sizing session. Here, we use sizer implants and our 3 dimensional computer imaging machine to give the patient an idea of what she should look like with various types and sizes of implants. I recommend you consult with a plastic surgeon who has these tools at their disposal to help you in your decision making. Good luck!
Thanks for your question! There is no "normal" cup size for a petite frame. Everyone's frame, breasts and dimensions are different. Bra sizes are different store-to-store and brand-to-brand. The most important thing is that you find an implant size that looks good on you and achieves a look that you like. Also, keep in mind that you may have certain limitations based on your current size. A board-certified plastic surgeon should be able to tell you what implants will fit your frame and give you a look you desire. If you can find a PS that allows you try on implants pre-operatively with a special bra, that is always helpful. Good luck!
Bra cup size is a difficult metric to chase because bra cup sizes can vary significantly amongst bra manufacturers. I use the width of your breasts to select a range of implant sizes that would be appropriate for patients. With this approach, I feel any of those implants selected would be appropriate. In addition to a sizing exercise where you try on the different implants with a bra or tight tshirt, we also have 3D imaging software that lets you visualize the results with any of the different implants available.
350 to 400 HP implants may be appropriate for you. The size of the implants are based on a combination of a patient's goals and objectives and her anatomy. In order to provide a natural looking augmentation, the surgeon needs to evaluate many factors including soft tissue coverage, skin laxity, chest wall width, breast imprint width, the shape of the breasts and relative level of constriction to ensure that the breast implants are appropriate for your body. Consult in person with 3 experienced and expert board certified plastic surgeons to understand your options.
There are several factors that plastic surgeons consider when recommending implant sizes. I consider two factors when selecting implants for my patients:1. Dimensional planning2. Gel Implant Sizing systemDimensional planning – The measurements of your chest wall are taken. Also, the breast dimensions including the height, width, and current dimensions of each breast form the basis of dimensional planning. Based on these measurements, the implant size is recommended. This will give you a unique breast implant that is suited for your body frame. However, there are some limitations of what size we can recommend. For instance, some implants may just be too big for a narrow chest wall. Your surgeon can review this with you during the consultation.Gel Implant Sizing system – During the preliminary breast implant consultation, you will be provided with an option to “try on” a variety of implant shapes and sizes. You can also visualize the possible outcomes of your surgery which helps you to get that perfect size to give you the shape that you longed for. This way your preferences are known and you can then pick a range of implants that will “fit” just right to give a soft natural fuller look. Hope this helps.Dr.BasuHouston, TX
Thank you for the question and picture. There is no "normal" cup size for petite patients. There is also no reliable correlation between specific breast implant size and resulting cup size. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery (regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “big C cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. The use of computer imaging technology may also be very helpful during this communication process.3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery.I hope this and the attached link (dedicated to petite patients) help.
Please talk to your surgeon about which bra to wear at this time. I normally recommend a post surgical bra to be worn day and night for the first two months or so. You should not go bra shopping until about 4 months after your surgery, as by this time your breasts will have dropped and fluffed,...
After 130 lb weight loss, you have stretched the skin of your breasts, abdomen, buttocks and thighs. It would be impossible to do all these procedures at the same time.I would begin with the breast lift.If you are happy with the volume of your breasts in a bra then implants are not required...
Thank you for your question. Generally speaking, the larger the implant, the greater the chance for complications in the long term. While 400cc is not huge, it is on the larger side. Many women are very successful with an implant in that size range. Silicone vs saline, placement, and type of...
