As title states, am I able to get lip filler with a cavity on my wisdom tooth/ a wisdom tooth that needs to be pulled because of that? Unfortunately, it is in bad condition and majority of the tooth has broken off. However, it is not infected as I did confirm this at the dentist around 2 weeks ago. I will be getting it pulled, but the appointment to do so is two months after filler appointment. I planned on getting around 1 ml of Juvederm Ultra. I wanted to be as safe as possible regarding this.
Answer: Lip filler and dental work Hello and thank you for your question. We always recommend a face-to-face consultation for advice however from what you have provided here we would advise waiting until your dental issues are settled. There is a small risk the increased inflammation of the dental work could flare up potential filler injected around the same time. I hope that helps, please always a seek a qualified and experienced practitioner for any cosmetic treatment, best wishes

Answer: Lip filler treatment before pulling wisdom tooth Hi, thanks for your question. Since your dental appointment is 2 months following your lip filler appointment, this should not affect your lip filler treatment or result. That said, you could always wait until after you have had your tooth pulled to get your treatment, just to be on the safe side. Either way, it should be ok, but don't hesitate to speak to your provider if you have any further concerns.

Answer: Lip Filler It is recommended that you wait at least 2 weeks after being injected to get dental work done to reduce the risk of moving the fillers from the site of injection. Since your dental appointment is scheduled for 2 months post-injection, you should be fine.

Answer: Can I get lip filler with a bad cavity? Tooth not pulled yet Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your tooth related issues. I would take care of the tooth and then pursue your lip augmentation in a "better safe than sorry" type of decision.

Answer: Lip filler prior to tooth extraction Hello and thank you for your question. Although it is unlikely that lip filler would be affected by your tooth extraction, it is still best to avoid dental work 1 month prior and 1 month after filler injections. Fillers such as Juvederm are essentially implants and may develop biofilms(bacteria) around them when a tooth is pulled and bacteria enter the bloodstream nearby. This may lead to prolonged inflammation and infection. In all cases it is best to have your procedure performed by an experienced aesthetic physician such as a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon.
