Hello and thank you for your questions and pictures! To answer your question, fillers may be the best way to address the line above your lip. A thorough examination will determine if this is the right fit for you! Make sure you go to a physician who is experienced so you are able to achieve the outcome you are hoping for! Thank you and good luck!I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of Botox and filler and offers all the nonsurgical options such as injectables and laser treatments. Go over your concerns with them and make sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and an idea of the pros and cons to each of them as well as realistic expectations.I hope this helps. If it does, please take a moment to up vote this answer on the “respond” button on the top right. Have a great day.
I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, skin tightening treatments such as Thermage, Fractora, and Renuvion (J Plasma), thread lifting, and peels to get the most conservative, natural look. I suggest seeing a facial sculpting expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer
Hello, and thank you for providing photos along with your question. Those lines are what we call nasolabial folds, and they typically run from the base of the nose to the corner of the mouth, making the face appear more aged. Dermal filler injections into nasolabial folds or the region surrounding it will make the area look smoother and younger, with less of a demarcation between the cheeks and the lower face. I highly recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable, experienced injector who is armed with a better knowledge of facial anatomy, as well as the most advanced techniques that can achieve a more natural-looking appearance. During your consultation, your injector can assess your skin quality and facial profile, customize the best treatment plan, and ensure the best possible outcome.
Hello @leona93 Hyaluronic acid can significantly improve the depth of the nasolabial fold. Generating the necessary volume so that the crease loses depth without losing you natural expression, here the application technique is crucial. It is important that you have a consultation with a board certified specialist to determine the ideal protocol for you according to your goal look. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS
The horizontal lines you circled are part of your "smile lines" or nasolabial folds. Depending on your examination, issues like this may be addressed with injectable fillers. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph
I would certainly start with filler, more-so on the left side, as that line is deeper. Seeing a licensed injector is important in this case because you want to make sure the filler they pick does not make your cheek look "overfull" or bumpy.
Hi there! I’m Lauren, the aesthetic injector here at Colorado Plastic Surgery Center. While many providers consider Botox to be low risk during breastfeeding, it is generally recommended to wait until you have finished breastfeeding before receiving Botox treatments.
Facial sculpting and contouring can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Countour, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi, thank you for your question! Botox can be done the day after you give birth. If you are breastfeeding you will have to wait until you are done breastfeeding. I would recommend reaching out to your certified injector.
