Question

Is there any metal or implant left In face or neck that needs to be noted on MRI or Nuclear Bone scan that is of concern after surgery ? Are the staples or sutures used metal and any chance anything still remaining after removal and healing ? My surgeries were fairly recent and I had mesh in my neck so concerned about having an MRI Much appreciated Thank you

It would be very unusual to leave any metal in the neck or face after a facelift.  I supposed its possible to have left a metal staple in the neck for treatment of bleeding, but it would be highly unusual to do so.  Normally, any bleeding requiring ligation of a vessel would be done with sutures.  Its best to double check with you surgeon, but it would be an unlikely possibility.

Your surgeon may use different types of material to stitch different layers of your skin and tissues together. They may also use grafts or implants to create more structure. In general, these are all safe for MRI and other scans. To be absolutely certain, I would ask your surgeon for a safe and happy result. Safety comes first.
