You should probably wait at least 3 months, but this is dependent upon a number of variables such as returning to your post-pregnancy weight, full recovery from the vaginal birth, resumption of breastfeeding when all medications are no longer within the bloodstream. Coordinate with your OB/GYN and your PS for the best time to schedule the BBL and lipo 360.
Thank you for your question. Are you planning on having more children? Are you back to your pre-baby weight? You want to make sure your weight is stable prior to surgery. If you plan on losing more weight then I would do so prior to surgery. Keep in mind if you are planning on more kids, then should wait until you are done having kids to do the surgery to help maintain your result.
When considering the timing of cosmetic surgery, it is important to note that the longevity of the result is dependent upon your post op stability. Significant changes in weight can alter results. These changes are difficult to predict but they may require revisionary surgery. Thus, when considering post-pregnancy surgery one must understand the best candidate for surgery has reached a healthy stable weight pre-op which they plan to maintain post op. This can take several months to achieve in the post partum period. Recommendations will vary but most patients will stabilize (hormonally) by 9-12 months post partum or 3 months after the cessation of breast feeding (whichever is longer). Allowing adequate time to plateau will make you a better candidate. There is no absolute with regards to timing. Stability is more important than time. Some patients may need longer to reach a plateau while others will get there faster. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).
Hello,It is usually best to wait 6 months after giving birth to have this surgery but that is not always the case. I recommend a consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to further guide you.All the best,Dr. BlaggAustin, TX
Dear yesica.2010,you might need to wait 6 months after giving birth in order to get the best results. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Every doctor has their own protocol. The length depends on the the overall situation of your preganancy. On average, most plastic surgeons wait anywhere between 3 to 6 months prior to considering surgery for a patient.
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. You can be a candidate for plastic surgery, three months after giving birth, if you are not breastfeeding and six months after, if you are, when your hormones have normalized.l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.Good luck :)
Hi, it is very important for women that had a baby to wait at least 6 months to get plastic surgery because the body is still sensitive to hormones effects and the liver, kidneys, etc., are still hipertrofic for the first 6 months. Actually my preference is to wait 6 months after the mom finishes her breast feeding. Thanks
You are an excellent candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) as we typically suggest patients wait 3-6 months after birth (6 on the safer side). The definitive treatment for a BBL is the use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat and strategic micro-packets transplant technique which can result in over 95% graft take. This means what you see is what you get and it will last you for life. As an official VASER trainer, I see botched BBLs weekly and observe a variety of suboptimal technical causes. We utilize a buttocks assessment tool to ensure that you receive exactly the buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or Facetime consultation with a BBL specialist will help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing.Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
No I have not, however, that is not necessarily a contraindication. You need to have a full medical examination to determine your eligibility for plastic surgery.
After 4 years, you would be a great candidate for a BBL revision. The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes ...
Symptoms of fat necrosis vary. Anything from decrease of volume, seromas, to an infection... usually fat necrosis can be diagnosed with a clinical exam or with a test of ultrasound or MRI scan.
