9 year old implant bubble

Question

I had inplants 9 years ago. Everything was fine until I recently had a baby. I stopped breastfeeding 3 months ago but now it feels like I have an air bubble at the top of my right breast. During pregnancy my right implant also flipped but corrected itself after a few days. I got mastitis 3 times during breastfeeding and now am very conscious of any breast issues. What could this bubble be? Will it go away by itself? Is it breastfeeding related?

From your description, it would appear you have saline implants and are now seeing a ripple. Consult with your surgeon for a possible switch to silicon gel implants.

Thank you for your question.  Based on your description you may be feeling a fold in a silicone gel breast implant or a ripple in a saline breast implant.  It is most important that you've consult your plastic surgeon for an examination to make an appropriate diagnosis.
