What should I do about chest tightness 8 days after a breast augmentation? (Photo)

Question

I know some tightness and heaviness after BA is expected but mine feels so intense. I seem to get tight from any physical acitivity or frequent arm movements like typing at a desk all day. It gets almost unbearable towards the end of the work day, and makes it hard to breathe normally. Will it really take weeks or months to alleviate this? Will massage help the right muscle relax faster? I did not go very big, was a small B before and got 295cc HP round, under the muscle.

Tightness is normal after an augmentation, especially if your implants are under the muscle. The best thing to do is take a muscle relaxant like robaxacet and massage to help them loosen up. Make sure to stop any repetitive activity like typing at least once an hour to stretch. I'd suggest booking an appointment with your surgeon to discuss your concerns if you think there is a problem though. Hope that helps!

Tightness is a common aftermath of breast augmentation. Even though it is fine to return to a desk job, be mindful that you are still early in the healing process and may need to take breaks.

I think it is always best that you see your plastic surgeon for an examination to make certain you are recovering properly. Your tissues should adjust to the new implants over the next 3 weeks.
