I had a full tummy tuck w/ umbilical and MR 5.5 weeks ago. Uneven swelling on my full left and a blunging look. Normal? (photos)

Dear jenjoe10,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a tummy tuck surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 5.5 weeks  post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD

Hi thank you for your question. From the photos it appears that you have achieved improvement compared to your pre-operative ones. I would suggest you continue to comply with the advice of your plastic surgeon and make them aware of your concerns. If they find anything of concern they can discuss whether anything needs to be done or whether it will settle.

Thank you for your question. It is still early in healing. At this time just have to wait for the swelling to go down and fully healed and re evaluate in 3 months. Meanwhile continue to follow instructions from your PS
