After a tummy tuck on 3/23/18: I have been getting a shooting pain in my left thigh after the procedure?

Question

It doesn't happen all the time but it either happens when I stretching my leg or turning a certain way in bed. I am feeling the nerve reconnecting in my incision area, but this is a more painful activity. Can anyone out there make since of this for me. I don't have my post op until 4/10/18 and I have let these concerns be know but she wasn't sure why either at this time.

There are sensory nerves that come out from the lower abdominal wall area on the sides that provide sensation to the front of the thighs themselves.  If one of these is injured - traumatized, stretched, caught up in a deep suture, etc., they can act in an irregular fashion, from decreased sensation to intermittent pain.  Since you are relatively early in the healing process, I would not worry at this point.  It can take nerves much longer to recover from being messed with during the surgery, and a 3-6mo recovery on those is not unusual.  Just be patient, follow you surgeon's instructions, and see how things are in a few months.  I hope this helps.
