It would be possible to perform liposuction under the chin and of a buffalo hump during the same procedure. I would say the immediate recovery time for liposuction under the chin is about a week and about 1-2 weeks for the buffalo hump.
Chin liposuction is an excellent option for contouring the neck and submental skin and can be performed in selected younger patients in the office under local anesthesia with minimal downtime. Ideally, patient's with excellent skin elasticity and minimal bunching/jowling of skin do best with submental liposuction. The posterior neck and upper back can also be suctioned at that time.Best of luck to you!
More information is needed, such as your age and a full set of pictures. If there is significant inelasticity of the skin in the neck, liposuction will be counterproductive. As long as the skintone the neck is acceptable, it is possible to remove the fatty deposits located only above the platysma muscle. A surgical neck lift is required to remove fatty deposits underneath the platysma muscle which also includes a platysma plasty to significantly improve the jawline. The buffalo hump can also be liposuctioned
these are simple straightforward procedures that can easily be done at the same time. Well in reality one after the other but during the same treatment. Their recovery is easy. You'll feel a bit sore for a few days but it shouldn't be much more than that. Fairly easy, somethings that ibuprofen can easily handle. The outcomes from liposuction vary more than any surgical procedure I know of. The two posts before yours this morning are both from people with bad liposuction outcomes. One is grotesquely deformed and the other is quite unhappy with her results. Most plastic surgeons should be able to treat this competently without causing major problems for you. Still, I would seek out the help of a board-certified plastic surgeon who has extensive experience with liposuction and can show before and after pictures to demonstrate this. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
Rf or ultrasound treatment are unlikely to assist here. I have no clue how old you are, what your skin quality is or how far out from surgery so I can’t answer this question properly to be honest
Nerves of the face can be affected by treatments like liposuction or facetime. When that happens, the nerve healing process takes 1mm a day. Therefore, healing process is slow. Patients with post surgical healing issues should adhere to the recommendations of the surgeon that...
We do this frequently in our office and call it a cobra lift, we do skin removal, muscle tightening (platysmaplasty), VASER and J Plasma all to contour the chin/neck in one treatment. Best, Dr. Emer.
Board certification is fairly useless unless it happens to be by the American Board of plastic surgery. That is really the only board that matters in this context. Alternatively the American Board of facial plastic surgery is a second runner up with highly qualified of doctors. ...
As others have mentioned, there seems to be some residual submental fat that needs to be removed. I would recommend returning back to the physician who did your initial liposuction procedure. You may also have some scar tissue that will need to be addressed. These bands can be addressed with r...
Generally the nerve will come back. I know its scary and I'm sorry it is happening to you. My suggestion would be to talk to your surgeon. There is particular testing that can be done after 21 days (electrical stimulation and EMG testing) that will tell you if the damage is permanent or not...
