I’m 53 years old , and have fair skin that was never really an issue in the past except mild sensitivity and some flushing. My recent complications are, after having Botox with no issue in the past, I had a severe reaction to Xeomin in November. Skin peeling off forehead, sticky film covered my face, rash, dry mucus membranes. My skin has now completely changed. It’s tight and very dried out. Also possibly have occipital neuralgia. Is a facelift even possible?

Answer: Elastic and circulatory qualities A facelift obviously implies tightening the skin and resorting to the elastic capacity that allows it to adapt to the new position of the skin. At the same time, the circulation of the tissues is put to the test and if it is not of good quality or has not fully recovered, the probability of necrosis (death of tissues) and dehiscence (opening of the wound) increases. In other words, your case deserves to be very conscientiously evaluated by analyzing these two characteristics of the current state of your skin (elasticity and circulation) before performing any surgical maneuver.

Answer: Yes Provided you are medically fit for surgery a facelift is quite possible. A dermatology/skin care consult may be warranted first in order to get your skin ready - but hard to tell without photos.
