How long should I wait before having Gore-Tex implant removed?

In my opinion, the Gore-Tex implant in your nose could be removed at any time. I will just mention that it can take 6-12 months for the swelling to go down on the nose after rhinoplasty, so it is likely that the appearance of your nose would still change over more time. But, if you are absolutely sure you do not want the implant, I see no reason why it could not be removed as soon as possible.

Expect to hear different opinions from different providers on this. My personal choice is to remove an implant as soon as possible if it’s obvious and clear that the implant is going to be removed. If you do it before scar tissue has formed and matured the tissues are more likely to go back to the way they were before, with less scar tissue and capsular formation around the implant. once sufficient amount of scar tissue has been made it may be better to allow the scar tissue to go through maturation which tends to make it less bulky and easier to work with. Generally, if someone is clear about wanting it removed, I remove it immediately. I’ve removed chin implants in the office on the day of the visit because the timing was right. If there’s any thought about keeping the implant with or without further revision surgery, then you should wait.
The answer depends on how far you are out from surgery at this point. If someone is two months out, I may encourage him to wait longer if someone is three weeks out, I would jump on it and do it ASAP.
It’s always best to maintain continuity of care, and I suggest you follow up with your provider and ask him or her for guidance. There may be other providers who have very different views, and they may have very good reasons for differing with my suggestions or others.
