Gyno surgery scars, hypertrophic or keloid? 9 months post op. (photos)

Hello, I had a Gyno surgery about 9 months ago, that included removal of mammary glands and liposuction.. I am worried about the scars as shown in the pictures.. They are not painful or itchy at all, but they are raised and somewhat firm. I did use silicon gel after the surgery but stopped about 2 months ago. They are not growing,but they don't seem to shrink either. Please advise.. Thanks..

It is way too soon to see your final result. Swelling can last for several months. If after all the swelling has resolved and you still have a large areola it can be reduced as an office procedure. Good luck.

I would certainly urge patients to be as close as possible to their ideal weight and in the best shape possible prior to surgery. I regularly see men in excellent physical shape with low body fat who have unwanted fullness in the chest. This fullness is gynecomastia and it can only be treated...

I had gland incision surgery 2 months back. But there is a hard lump behind the nipple still, will it ever go away? (photo)

It's normal to feel hard lumps beneath the nipple area for 2-3 months after surgery. They should get noticeably smaller and softer as time goes on. It is usually the result of scar tissue. i recommend massage. Someties a kenalog injection is helpful.
