Do pdo threads cause fat loss? I’m a bit confused about how exactly pdo threads work....I know they cause fibrosis but is this always a negative thing ? What happens to skin after they dissolve ?
Answer: PDO Threadlift The threadlift procedure is a very safe procedure when it is performed appropriately. Having said that, the thread lift is a very temporary procedure that will provide adequate facial lifting for a short period of time. There is not an significant fibrosis that occurs otherwise the results of the procedure would actually last longer. The skin simply goes back to its original position once the threads dissolve.

Answer: Is thread lifting a good options? Thread lifting is a great option for the correctly chosen patient. I have not seen any complications from its use. It works best on patients with loose skin and is less effective for patients who have thick tissue that has fallen. See an experienced oculofacial surgeon who can give you the best guidance. Good luck!

Answer: Fat loss due to thread lift? Thanks for your questions.Thread lift helps to lift minor degree of facial sagging and it usually last up to 18 months. Some patient go through again once the lifting effect disappear. It may cause local fat loss due to pressure but it is not noticeable. Floating technique(using only single thread) is usually not recommended and double thread tied at the entrance fives better lifting. This procedure also can be combined with filler injection or jowl fat liposuction. Because it is done under local anesthesia and quick recovery, if you are not ready for much more invasive procedure thread lift can help.Thanks,Dr.Choi

Answer: PDO Treads: Waste of Money Thread-lifts are a flat out waste of your money. Take your family out for a nice meal, buy a nice case of wine, or take a nice vacation. All of which will provide better value for money. Good luck!

Answer: Threads The use of pdo threads have been extensively marketed by people/doctors who are not very comfortable with facial rejuvenation. In the process of inserting them there is minimal fat loss, but by your question, reading between the lines, so to speak, you probably need a little more than the temporary result you have. It would be very beneficial for you to have a consultation with us so we can set the record straight, and dispel any myths...
