How often do PDO threads break, leaving one uneven?

I have mild sagging under one neck cord down middle of neck (I do botox there to help). I want to put off a lift for a while, and was thinking of getting PDO threads to help. I know it's a short term solution, but main concern is that one would break while traveling, leaving me uneven. Any input on this?

Thank you for sharing your question. I have never seen that problem of a suture breaking. If a suture does break, a new thread can be placed. The procedure works great for specific candidates. Make sure to see an experienced oculofacial surgeon for your evaluation. Good luck!

Thread lifting is best for the midface, jowls and secondarily the neck  in  patients who have early aging laxity.  I think combining thread lift and botox of the neck bands can enhance the results.  I have not had a problem with pdo thread breakage.  More commonly, patients request a secondary thread lift if one side responds better than the other.  But again, this is easily accomplished under local anesthesia in the office.
