In my practice, we do not use massages. However, we do use ultrasound (the kind physical therapists use for sore muscles), usually between 8-10 sessions lasting 5 minutes per side. Also, to increase the chance of blood supply to the transplanted fat cells, we employ the use of DMSO which opens choke vessels. These two modalities have significantly improved the percentage take in my BBLs.
I do not recommend massages to my patients after having a Brazilian buttlift.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
Every surgeon is different with there postoperative BBL instructions. I myself do not recommend massages. I don't think they will harm, but I also do not feel that they affect the ultimate outcome. Other surgeons may feel differently.Best of luck!Dr. SubbioBoard-Certified Plastic SurgeonNewtown Square/Philadelphia, PA
ZERO.......! No massages required for excellent results! If liposuction is done well, you shouldn't need massages post op. Definitely would not recommend massage of your buttocks after BBL, That's the last thing you want to do! You want to immobilize your fat cells! The more you move them, the more you will lose! As far as liposuction, I only recommend massaging something if it is not perfect! And, fortunately, this is rare! If it is done well, massage isn't necessary! Not surprisingly, most of the docs that I know who recommend massage after surgery, also employee a massage therapist! Hmmmmmm........!?
Each surgeon is a bit different. I do not specifically recommend massages on a regular basis but some surgeons do. Best to ask yours.
Really, it varies from Dr. to Dr., from anesthesiologist to anesthesiologist. Some teams may prescribe steroids, others not, some nausea patches, some not, some sublingual Zofran, some not, some Percocet, some Vicodin. I would first choose your surgeon based on your rapport with him or her, a...
You will have to discuss this with your surgeon as your surgeon may not want you to be smoking marijuana prior to surgery.
Thank you for your question. The average of BBL patients can return to an "office job" that does not involve sweat or load weight to 02 weeks p.o. If it is a job that involves activity or heavy lifting, i recommend returning to work a month after p.o. to prevent surgery damage. Kind regardsDr. ...
