I allow my patients to return to a sedentary job as soon as they desire as long as pressure is not placed upon the buttocks or hips.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
Thank you for your question. The average of BBL patients can return to an "office job" that does not involve sweat or load weight to 02 weeks p.o. If it is a job that involves activity or heavy lifting, i recommend returning to work a month after p.o. to prevent surgery damage.Kind regardsDr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
I ask all my BBL patients to sit on a very soft surface while at work and get up and walk around every hour so that you are not sitting on a firm surface or for a prolonged period of time. They also make standing desks which are very useful.
It is essential that you not sit directly on your buttocks for up to three weeks, ideally, to allow for the best possible 'take' of the fat graft in your buttocks. If you place pressure on the area too soon, you may lose some of the fat graft.Since you sit at work, I'd recommend taking three weeks off if you can swing it.Best wishes!
For my patients, I generally recommend a week off from work if you can afford it. This would be longer if the job is physically demanding. When you do return, you will have to use a pillow until the three week mark, to avoid direct pressure on the healing graft.Best of luck!Dr. SubbioBoard-Certified Plastic SurgeonNewtown Square/Philadelphia, PA
My patients can often go back to work within 3-5 days as long as they sit on a special pillow that avoids pressure on the buttocks. Best to review with your surgeon.
I hope you will be fully recovered prior to your surgery date. If not and you are running a fever with a productive cough the surgery should be delayed. Make your plastic surgeon aware of your current medical condition.
Typically for my patients, I don’t have them sit for two weeks. I then have them sit on a “donut” (soft round pillow) for another month or so. It is best to try not to place pressure on the recipient area to try to get as much fat to survive as possible. For bruising, it usually subsides after ...
Hi and thanks for the question. You always have the option to have your operation done in the hospital. For healthy patients surgery centers offer a very safe environment that can offer economic advantages. Talk to your surgeon of choice and there should be a hospital available for your ...
