Did I get a botched breast lift? (Photo)

Question

I got my a breast lift (with no implants) 12 days ago and they look crazy. One breast has fallen lower than the other & they are shaped like banana boats from the side. I know it's early but I've seen other breast lifts and you can kinda see the final results from the beginning other than the scars needing to heal. Will they round out & drop evenly or am I doomed from the beginning? Have you seen anything like this before?

Thank you for your pictures. This is oddly shaped. At this point I think the best thing is to completely heal. What year he'll still believe that you will be heading for revision.

Very early in the healing process to tell. But in the interim seeking some second opinions wouldn't be a bad idea. Make sure you do your homework and research his or her credentials, reviews and pictures!

Subtle asymmetry following breast lift surgery is common in both the short and long term results.  But lasting asymmetry should not exist.  The term "botched" is a strong one.  I would recommend maintaining close follow up with your physician.If he or she is committed to achieving quality lasting results, they will be as interested in your outcome as you are.  Discuss your concerns with him/her.  Also, 12 days post-op is too soon to judge your results.

Thank you for the question.  From your photos, the asymmetry is noticeable.  It is too early to make a true judgment on the mastopexy and what your eventual results will be.  It is advisable to wait the 3-6 months for everything to heal and settle down before deciding what revisions you will want.  Keep following up with your board certified Plastic Surgeon and express your concerns.  Good luck with everything.

I do share your concerns about the shape an asymmetry.  It is too early to be considering a revision surgery, but i suspect that by the time all the healing has settled (3 months) you will be planning such a procedure. You may wish to get an in person second opinion in the meanwhile.Best wishes.

As online “consultants”, we have to be careful about being overly critical but frankly I would share your concerns about the breast asymmetry/shape at this point. Not much to do but allow for healing process to “complete” itself.  Assuming you are working with a board certified plastic surgeon, he/she will be your best resource when it comes to answering your specific concerns/questions… Best wishes.

There is asymmetry in the size and shape of the breast. You should speak with your original surgeon first to see what he/she suggests as far as revising. It will be best to wait until the breasts have healed entirely. If you are not satisfied by the treatment plan presented by you PS you should consults with another Board Certified PS for a second opinion.
