Can someone get Fillers in the face when having Silicone as a Filler? are the Fillers and Silicone compatible and will the fillers cause infection when Injected into the or around the silicone?
Answer: Silicone and fillers In essence, silicone and fillers are compatible but the real issue is whether silicone fillers from your past injections may cause longterm fibrosis and inflammation. We follow a soft tissue reaction grading scale that measures the amount of tissue change in the skin. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: See a Cosmetic Dermatologist for a formal evaluation--silicone and HA fillers Silicone is not a FDA approved filler for the face. Silicone injections can cause chronic inflammation. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your options. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Silicone is Not FDA Approved The FDA has not approved silicone filler. Silicone injections can cause chronic inflammation in ther area(s) that have been injected. It is not recommended to have HA filler injected into an area that has been previously injected with silicone. It is best to consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that can evaluate you and create a possible treatment plan.

Answer: Are silicone and fillers compatible in the face? Thanks for your question and just know that there is no silicone product that has an FDA approval for facial injections so if you have had silicone injected into your face, you had that done with a non-FDA approved product for injecting lines and wrinkles. Over the years, many of us have seen people who have had silicone injected and many of us have injected HA fillers into the same face without any concerns or worries. Just so that you go to an expert injector and let them know where the silicone was injected. But if done right, there should be no major issues.

Answer: Silicone and HA fillers I would not recommend silicone as a filler treatment. If you have already had silicone injected into the face, I would try to avoid treating these same areas with hyaluronic acid based fillers because you do not want to stimulate the immune system to react to the silicone. The best thing to do is schedule an in person evaluation with a local aesthetic physician to come up with an appropriate treatment plan.
