Hello everyone, 64 year old Transgender. I had silicone injections in my face back in the late 70s because it was illegal for a Dr to put beasts implants in a transgender back then, Yes I'm very aware of the risks and fibrosis I face every day.. I have it in my face and breasts, my face is staring to look droopy and I can't afford plastic surgery, So I would like to get a safe filler to lift my face back up and Eliminate the look of nodules. Unless you can do the surgery for free please don't suggest I run out and get surgery, I don't don't have it.. Medicaid will not pay for this, as it's considered cosmetic, Thank you for your help and advice.
5 years ago I had rhinoplasty. In two follow-up visits, the surgeon used the microdroplet technique to inject liquid silicone into one side of my nose. Since I have been fine for about 5 years, what are the chances of having a problem with the microdroplet nose injections over the course of my lifetime? (note I am 43 years old) If I do have a problem with the silicone drops in my nose, can they be neutralized and/or removed or is this something that could become life threatening?
Is there any ointments or new treatments that could help with constant inflamation. We have tried lazer treatment 10 yrs ago with no success. Any new lazers today, or just anything that could be applied to help with the redness.? Applying make up constantly clogs and enlarges pores, and does not cover up the reddness very well.
I had silicone filler to in my nose. I had an eye infection and had to wear my glasses that slid down and were heavy for a week. The nose pads were hard and didnt press directly but pressure around it. The skin is different, there is a slight hot tingling sensation. Looks somewhat different. Nosril on that side a little blocked. -can the silicone go into my bloodstream even now? -can it shift? did it? -what about removal? -is it still silicone, or had it turned to my own body's tissue?
I am getting silicone injections by an experienced injector in my nose. He explained it is only the tiniest bit used. This is to perfect results have an initial rhinoplasty procedure as I am still lacking fullness one one side of my nose. I have a history of having cold sores on my lower lip. Is it possible having a foreign material in my nose can create a higher frequency of outbreaks in the future?
I gotten second round of pmma in June. I just started using a tanning bed (4 session) now I can see on the one side I have discolouration showing near injection area and a another spot lower. I only have it on the one side. Can a doctor please let me know why and how I can get it fixed? I have recently done an ultra sound on my hips to check if I had any inflammation and it came back negative.
