Lidocaine with epinephrine for mole removal?

I seem to get rapid heartbeat when injected with novocain for dental procedures, will I get the same reaction if injected with lidocaine and epinephrine for a mole removed by my eyebrow? Thank you for your answer. Jan

You usually won't experience the same racing heart anxiety when you get a mole removed with lido and epi than what happened at the dentist.

Thank you for your question.  Some patients are sensitive to the effects of epinephrine and can feel that their heart is racing after injection.  This sensation normally lasts for only a short time period before resolving.  If you would prefer your injector need not use epinephrine but it does make the procedure easier and safer.  Hope this helps.

Certainly, we could use lidocaine without epinephrine.  The anesthetic effect doesn't last quite as long, but it will work.  Even for regular excisions we can use lidocaine without epinephrine if need be.

Using Xylocaine with epinephrine can cause rapid heart beat because of the normal effect of epinephrine (Adrenaline).A small mole can be removed under local anesthesia without epinephrine.
