Mommy makeover and rhinoplasty at same time, is it safe or should I wait?

Depending on your overall health and the operations composing the mommy makeover adding a rhinoplasty can certainly be done. In the end it will be the judgment of your own surgeon as to whether or not this is in your best interest.

Thanks for the question.  To some extent the answer to your question requires additional information about your mommy makeover and rhinoplasty goals.  For example, if your mommy makeover means a full tummy tuck and breast lift with augmentation, it might not be appropriate to add additional procedures as these two procedures alone require significant operative time.  If however the mommy makeover consists of a mini-abdominoplasty and breast augmentation alone, that might allow for an additional procedure if your overall health would tolerate a lengthy surgery.In simplest terms, when considering performing multiple cosmetic surgeries in a single trip to the operating room, you must consider safety ahead of all else.  Lengthy operations confer additional anesthetic risks, risks of potentially fatal blood clots, and wound complication risks among others.  These risks need to be weighed against the potential benefit of having all your aesthetic goals addressed in a single surgery.

It depends on how long your total surgery time is with the mommy makeover. Some mommy makeovers may take up to four hours or longer, so adding a rhinoplasty may be too long of an operation. Thank you for your question.The simple answer is "yes, it can be safe".However, the components of what you desire vary.  If you have a straightforward abdominoplasty, straightforward breast augmentation, and a nose that does not need much refinement, then these procedures may be done at once.  If you have a complex abdomen, and a complex breast procedure, combined with a complex nose procedure, it may be best to separate the procedures, as the time under anesthesia may get lengthy at that point.I recommend visiting with a plastic surgeon for an evaluation.  Based on your overall health and complexity of the procedures needed, he or she will be able to recommend a single surgery or multiple surgeries to get you the results you ultimately desire.

It can be done, but in all honesty I am not completely sure about the advantages that you would get.Combining too many procedures does increase the risks, and it also puts stricter time constraints on your surgeon, who may not be as relaxed as with just a mommy makeover and a separate rhinoplasty.Unless you really need to minimise the downtime, I would say you are going to be better off separating the mommy makeover from the rhinoplasty.
