Got a dent after cortisone injection for a raised scar, is it possible my doctor will do fillers to fix it without charging me?

Every office has different policies on handling situations like this. It's possible, but not "standard" for a physician to offer free product for an unintended result. Speaking from personal and professional experience, given time, you may well grow enough tissue back to smooth out the dent on your own. When I had a dent from a steroid injection, it took about 6 months, but it completely corrected itself (and the scar did eventually go flat). I encourage you to talk with your doctor and consider how you feel about a compromise like paying cost for a syringe of filler. Chances are you won't need the whole syringe to correct  the indentation, so if you have ever considered filler elsewhere, you will probably have enough to use in another spot. Good luck. 

This will depend on the individual doctor.  Every doctor will handle this differently. For one, does the doctor do fillers because some do not.  If they do, I would discuss with them the issue and get a general feel.  If the doctor specifically discussed the possibility of dimpling or atrophy and you decided to move forward with it then this will be different scenario vs the doctor never discussed this possibility.  Generally, patients who are nice about it tend to get more vs patients who come in very angry.If anything, I don't feel you should be pay full price.  At least the discounted price.  

Not our call as to the charging of other doctors, but we can at least recommend clinical outcomes. I warn all my patients about this possible outcome. I also tell them it may take 3 months for the 'dent' to resolve, at that stage if it doesn't resolve, I may use some filler. I personally do not charge, but EVERY DOCTOR is different.
