Although the implant is round, will it add to the upper pole? If practically flat chested (32 deflated B), could a 300cc mod Classic create cleavage on a 12.5 Bwd chest?
Answer: There are many nuances Hello, First let me mention that a wider base width implant will fill out the upper pole more than a high profile one, but once the implant gets too wide it starts sticking out to the side which most people don’t want. Additionally, the upper pole fullness is often blunted in patients who have the implants placed sub-muscular as the muscle pushes on top of the implant creating a more natural slope. When going sub-muscular, how medial toward the center in the implant sits is often dictated by where the muscle attached to the sternum, so you have less control of how close the implants sit and how much cleavage the patient can achieve. Another thing that helps increase upper pole fullness is using thicker gel implants such as the mentor Boost implants as they hold steri shape better and will hold more of the gel toward the upper pole. Finally, cleavage is really more a function of what clothes/bra you are wearing, it would look quite unnatural if you had cleavage standing perfectly straight without any clothing on, but having an augmentation on top of the muscle can definitely help improve your chances of getting good cleavage with clothes on. If your main concerns are upper pole fullness and the ability to have good looking cleavage, I would recommend augmentation on top of the muscle with very cohesive implants like mentor boost. Hope this helps!

Answer: Hard to say- you'd need a consult | Breast Implants | Augmentation | Lift | Fat Grafting | Aesthetic Plastic Surgery | Expert Hello and thank you for your question. I actually just answered another couple questions you posted- unfortunately I have the same response here, that a formal in-person evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. For those who have not seen the other questions, my response is as follows: There are several reasons for needing an in-person consult: 1) Bra sizes vary based on the clothing store (for example, Victoria's Secret tends to upsize everyone by a whole cup size) 2) Most women do not wear the proper exact fitting bra size for their bodies 3) The exact volume (in cc) needed to change cup size is different for different body types (e.g. 32A to 32D requires a different implant size than 38A to 38D) 4) Be careful NOT to fall into the trap most women do- they see a certain implant size (e.g. 285 cc) or perhaps their friend had a certain size, and they want or request this or another size based on that. Everyone's body is different- 285 cc implants on your friend might look VERY different than they would on you. Be very careful not to make this mistake, because the goal is to find the right size and shape for YOU- for your particular body and your breasts. Because of those multiple factors, and because it is KEY to fully evaluate your breasts in person to make a full set of precise measurements to select the proper implant for you (incorporating factors like amount of breast tissue, implant type, base width, projection, etc), answering your question really would need a formal personalized consultation- to say anything before that would simply be guessing, which would be both unfair and unhelpful to you. Also, just FYI, each surgeon's measurements are slightly different, so numbers, experience, and overall aesthetic from one surgeon aren't necessarily the same as those from another surgeon! Your breasts are such a KEY area of your body and your femininity- therefore, you should ONLY trust an experienced aesthetic plastic surgeon. As such an expert, I have had extensive training and experience with complex aesthetic surgeries under a multiple world-renowned experts in the field. I’d recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with aesthetic plastic surgery procedures) for a formal consultation to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate all your options (surgical and nonsurgical), and decide on the best procedure(s) and type of anesthesia for your specific case. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Implant Mentor offers a variety of breast implants that can help create fullness in the upper pole of the breast, including: Mentor BoostDesigned to create fullness in the upper pole, even for patients with less breast tissue. It's available in two projection and fullness options. Mentor MemoryShapeThese teardrop-shaped implants have a tapered upper pole and a fuller projection near the base. They're designed to retain their shape and mimic the silhouette of a natural breast. Mentor XTRAThese implants are over-filled with silicone gel to provide more projection and fullness in the upper pole. They also feel firmer than other styles. Mentor CPX 4 Breast Tissue ExpanderThis expander is designed to expand in the lower pole of the breast, creating a pocket that can accommodate an implant. It also has an injection dome that allows surgeons to gradually stretch breast tissue over time. Round implants are often a better choice for patients who want more fullness in the upper pole, while shaped implants are better for patients who want a more natural breast shape with fullness in the lower pole.
