Could my uneven nostrils be a sign of a deviated columella? 6 months post op (photos)

Based on your photos, you left nostril margin appears to be lower than your right. Believe it or not, issues like this can sometimes be due to persistent swelling and many times they get better on their own over the course of a year following rhinoplasty surgery. When a person has uneven nostrils or crookedness there could be a number of factors. A deviated columella could be one of them. Another area we look at is the septum. Most people do not know that they may have a deviated septum. Of course other factors such as age, genetics or previous Rhinoplasty could also be a reason. It is always best to have an in person consultation with an experienced professional to determine what the cause may be.

Have you got any pre-op pics. There might have been asymmetry prior to surgery. It does look as though the left hemi-columella is shorter than the right, but this might just be the photo. I recommend that you keep in regular contact with your surgeon. Any swelling can take up to 12 months to settle.

To make an accurate assessment of any plastic surgery procedure we usually need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures.
If you don’t have before, and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took.
It would also be helpful to know what was done during the procedure.
Without comparing what you look like before it’s difficult to assess your outcome in any meaningful way.
I suggest you follow up with your provider and have him or her address your concerns.
