I have had rhinoplasty 15 mounts ago It seems like that my nostrils were Asymmetrical even before surgery but it was less noticeable because my nose was downward. Now one nostril height is more than the other and this makes me really sad. What could be done to correct this asymmetry?

Answer: Large nostril/asymmetry Thank you for posting your question here.let me start by saying that my answer will be based on the limited information and pictures presented , for a more in depth answer and a bespoke plan please consult with your plastic surgeon. When it comes to your nostrils , you are right in your assessment , you probably had that asymmetry prior to your surgery but it become obvious after the tip was lifted. The fix is actually quite easy and for the most part can be performed under local anesthetic , given that the actual nostril including the sill appear to be more redundant on one side, a nasal sill excision will probably fix that issue. I would recommend that you consult with your surgeon and discuss your concerns, but rest assured that there is a relatively easy fix for this issue.I hope this helps, Good luck!

Answer: What can be done to correct my asymmetrical nostrils 15 months after a rhinoplasty When patient patients have a hanging columella, we reduce that Columella show. When patients have a retracted Alar rim, we use a composite graft with both skin and cartilage harvested from the ear and placed on the inside of the nostril to bring the alar rim down.
