Cocaine nose damage. Do I need nose surgery?

I've got into coc for over 2years, just weekends. I stopped cuz my nose started to look skinnier around valve area. It's been over2months now,but noticed creases forming around nostrils. Stuck fingers into my nose to check septum n I swear I felt something bony like in my left nostril, its to deep up to see so I stuck a Qtip n saw very subtle blood. I'm freakin out now cuz my septum was fine a month ago. Is this damage going to continue even though it's been over 2months? Do I need nose surgery?

Without photos and exam- it's impossible to comment accurately. Would be essential to see the photos. Generally speaking, nasal deformities including those caused by cocaine are improvable provided you stop using this drug immediately.

The most common damage from nasal cocaine would be a septal perforation. This may lead to crusting and bleeding. Consider discussing your concerns with a reputable specialist.

You should seek a consultation with a Facial Plastic Surgeon experienced in nasal reconstruction. You might have just soft tissue damage which will typically heal once the tissue has recovered from the cocaine injury. This can be facilitated with nasal saline sprays and antibiotic ointments. However, if you do have a septal perforation (a hole that connects the two sides of the nasal airway) it might require surgery for repair. It's great that you have not picked up again. You need to see a surgeon well versed in nasal surgery for an exam.   2 months is not very long after drug injury and may take months to completely calm down.
