Hello, Im wondering if Im a BBL candidate. My BMI is 22 and I store all my fat in my midsection and back. I'm 34 years old. Wondering if I can see a good improvement.
Answer: BBL candidate Dear debbiegreyson, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Would I benefit from a Brazilian butt lift? 34 y/o (photo) Thank you for your inquiry. Based on your goals, I would recommend considering belly, waist and back liposculpture. This procedure can effectively enhance your body contours, particularly in the waist area, resulting in improved curves and overall silhouette refinement. Additionally, by utilizing the harvested fat from liposuction, a fat transfer procedure to the buttocks and hips can be performed. This approach allows for sculpting and augmentation of these areas, enhancing volume, contour, and buttock projection to achieve a more balanced and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Sincerely, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol

Answer: You are a good candidate! Hi Debbie, I hope all is well with you. Based on your picture, looks like you're a good candidate, however, I recommend gaining around 5 pounds naturally, so you can have more fat to extract and work with.

Answer: Assessment for BBL without seeing your bottom You’re probably not a bad candidate for a BBL. You’re young, you have tight skin and enough subcutaneous fat to get improvements from liposuction and fat transfer. To make an accurate assessment we need quality pictures. Take a look at how plastic surgeons take before and after pictures to get an idea. Use the timer on your camera or have someone else take the pictures. We need pictures of you standing in a neutral position, showing your front, side, and rearview from your shoulders to just below your knees. Delivering consistent quality, liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people realize. Finding somebody who has mastered this procedure can be a bit challenging. I suggest patient start the process by having multiple in person, consultations with plastic surgeons and their community who seem to have a strong track record for this procedure. Bring pictures of your own body to use as a reference during the consultation. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients, who had similar body characteristics to your own. Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing the best results of a provider career may be insufficient. An experience provider should have no difficulty showing you a large collection of before and after pictures. For commonly performed procedures, I would say they should easily be able to show you 50 cases. There is substantial difference in skill, experience, and approach to this procedure, depending who you choose. Considering you’ll be reminded of the outcome every day for the rest of your life, and that these outcomes are permanent, I think, having fiber more consultations seems appropriate before selecting a provider. In regards to candidacy you appear to be fairly ideal. Best, Matt Hagstrom, MD
