In general, asymmetric nostrils can be improved with rhinoplasty surgery, and the approach taken would depend on your individual circumstances. It would be helpful to see photos of your nose to confirm visually what you mentioned about your uneven nostrils. In general, correcting uneven nostrils can be done successfully. Sometimes this involves using cartilage grafts to reshape the nostril rim while in other cases composite grafts (taken from the front of the ear) are required. But keep in mind that perfection is not realistic - you will ultimately have to accept some degree of asymmetry between the two sides. I have seen cases where someone pursues this notion of perfectly symmetrical nostrils only to end up with an almost irreversible problem that looks quite unnatural. Good luck!

There are multiple reasons for nostril asymmetry: developmental, septal deviation displacing the nostrils, midfacial asymmetry with decreased soft tissue or bony volume of the midface on one side causing corresponding nostril to elevate, etc.  There definitely are ways to correct this; the approach depends on the problem at hand.  Your next step should be a consultation with a rhinoplasty specialist.
