Hello Kylie,Thank you for your question. There have been several times that patients did not heed my warning of not drinking after filler injections and then came back for their follow up 2 weeks later with the bruising still present. These were also the times that I noted hemosiderin staining (coppery color remaining after the bruise is gone). I would definitely advise not drinking after any filler injections. Hope this helps. All the best,Carlos Mata, MD, MBA, FACS
It is advisable to abstain from consuming alcohol for at least 24 hours following the treatment. Alcohol has the potential to dilate blood vessels, which can increase the risk of bruising. However, after this point, you can drink alcohol without worry. It will not affect the fillers.
Thank you for your question. Blood thinners, including alcohol, increase chances and severity of bruising, so it’s recommended to avoid them for at least 24 hours after getting an injection. If you are particularly prone to bruising, it may be wise to wait a couple of days to give your skin more time heal before drinking.
I ask my patients to wait about 24-48 hrs after their filler to minimize risk of prolonged bruising. Of course, the pulsed dye laser can help expedite resolution of bruising if needed. Best of luck!
Hello. Drinking alcohol after fillers is nor recommended for the next 24 hours. It increases the risk of bruising and swelling.
Dear Kylie Thank You for your question.I always discourage drinking after fillers as it is said to encourage bruising. What the reality is with a single drink I don't know. I suspect negligible.Unfortunately though a single drink is a difficult thing to have so maybe best avoided along with aspirin.Kind Regards Dr Dinesh Maini Zenith Cosmetic Clinics
It would not be a problem to use Radiesse and Juvederm in the same area. There are several different types of fillers in the Juvederm family, but regular Juvederm would not last longer than Radiesse. In addition, Radiesse is a stiffer product than any of the Juvederm products, so it can p...
There is not age restrictions. The key important factor is the injector have many years of experience knowledgeable of the facial structures and have aesthetic sense and a good skilled hands to get the results that you desire.
Radiesse is a stimulatory filler that is an excellent option for patients who desire a longer-lasting filler alternative to hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. In our office, we use Radiesse to complement structural areas of the face and contour bony prominences. Our office also is a center of...
Dom,In my opinion, you would get a better, more natural and longer lasting result with 1.0 cc of Voluma rather than 1.5 cc of Radiesse. You may eventually want a 2nd cc of Voluma, but you will see an instant effect from 1.0 cc. Good luck!
It can take 1-2 weeks for final results with Radiesse. For jowls, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement. I like fillers for the folds themselves and to provide anatomical support, Sculptra for collagen building along with Ultherapy and rf treatments to provide skin ti...
