2.5 weeks post fat transfer to breast, how long until I can sleep on my side?

I got my procedure done about 2 and a half weeks ago, I’m not really hurting anywhere anymore. Am I able to sleep on my side or boobs yet or are will they get disfigured or something?

Your fat cells are fragile until about 3 months post op so we tell our patients to avoid sleeping on the side for that length of time.  Many buy the big pregnancy pillows and those seem to work really well.

Just as is the case with fat transfer to the buttocks, you want to avoid direct pressure to your breasts (such as sleeping on your stomach) for anywhere from 2-4 weeks after surgery. If you still have swelling and/or pain, you won't want to do this anyway, but sleeping on your side should not pose a problem even 1 week out from surgery.
