Would fat grafting to help me gain some volume in just the apples of my cheeks and my under eyes? (photos)

Hi. I recently underwent v line surgery in South Korea and am still a little swollen from it. However, I feel like my face wold look much better is I could gain some volume in just the apples of my cheeks and my under eyes. Do you think fat grafting wold allow me to make this transition. I don't want the fat to sag & end up with chipmunk cheeks again.

Fillers are a better option for you to enhance the volume of cheeks. Fillers are a quick and easy in office procedure with minimal downtime. Fillers are also very accurate in shaping the face as well as being reversible so this gives you an opportunity of exploring the contour you desire without surgery or permanent alterations.

I would recommend adding a bit of caution before committing to procedures that permanently change your facial contour.

You are young, attractive and have no visible flaws on your face.

There’s not to say improvements can’t be made with selective procedures but things can always end up different than what patients anticipated.

Fat transfer can be fickle and simply adding volume does not always correlate with what patients had hoped for.

Before committing to permanent and potentially irreversible procedures I suggest you stick with fillers.

Fillers are easier to work with and much more forgiving.

If the results consistently deliver what you would hope for then you’ll have a solid understanding of what volume enhancement can deliver.

At that point you can convert to long lasting fillers or fat transfer if desired.

Be careful you don’t do something you might regret.
